Falling Walls Lab Slovakia 2020 announced its winners. The event was a part of an international format that provides platform to projects of exceptional young innovators from various fields of study. Presentations were evaluated by international Jury, whose members looked at projects’ breakthrough factor, potential impact and form of presentation. The first place has been awarded to Michal Takac from Technical unviersity of Kosice, whose idea on teaching in virtual reality breaks the wall of teaching mathematics. The second place was awarded to Dr. Klaudia Kyselicova from Comenius University in Bratislava, who breaks the wall of autism screening tools thanks to her research on relationship between fingerprints and autistic disorders. The third place was awarded to Dr. Matej Balaz from Slovak Academy of Sciences for his project on innovative solutions in mechanochemistry.
The winner of the Falling Walls Lab Slovakia 2020 will represent Slovakia in an international finale of “Emerging Talents” category in a new „The Falling Walls Breakthroughs of the Year“ digital format. Young innovators from all around the world will present their ground-breaking and innovative ideas and projects during several weeks in an online form. Further, first ten will promote to the next round to compete for the „FW Breakthrough of the Year” award. The winner will be announced in a great Falling Walls finale taking place on November 9, 2020.
