FWLS 2021 knows its winners!
The 2021 edition of Falling Walls Lab Slovakia once again showcased the creativity and courage of young Slovak innovators. After an inspiring afternoon full of concise and energetic pitches, the jury announced three standout projects.
The first place was awarded to Matej Badin (Comenius University Bratislava) for boldly Breaking the Wall of Transformation Barriers — proposing innovative strategies to unlock new transformation pathways in chemistry.
The second place went to Olivier Monfort (Comenius University Bratislava), whose project on Breaking the Wall of Environmental Photochemistry demonstrated how photochemistry can help purify wastewater more efficiently and sustainably.
The third place was awarded to Marek Ratvaj (University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice) for Breaking the Wall of Antimicrobial Resistance. His idea of using probiotic feed for aquaculture offers a promising alternative to pharmaceutical treatments in fish farming.
Congratulations to all participants who made 2021 an inspiring celebration of science, creativity, and problem-solving!
